(Listen to these amazing songs & read more about the most expected music below.)
Esben And The Witch are releasing their debut album Violet Cries. Its first song, Warpath is a powerful post-punk storm. Can’t wait for January, 31st.
James Blake comes with his eponymous debut on 7th of February. His dubstep/electronic trajectory is changing in favour to acoustic and sung music somewhere between soul and folk. It’s unbelievable, but this Feist’s cover isn’t the most awesome track he prepared for us.
PJ Harvey is back with her eight album, Let England Shake. We already heard Written on the Forehead and The Last Living Rose, both showing more human and joyous face of Polly. St. Valentine’s day should be this time expected not just because of love.
Mogwai release their Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will the same day as PJ Harvey. Rano Pano is highly enjoyable trip through mathematical symmetry, let’s hope the entire album will be the same top-quality.
Deaf Center release their second album called Owl Splinters some time in February. Considering this year’s top creativity of Skodvin and Totland, it’ll be massive.
Lamb returned to work together again and currently they are recording their fifth studio album called 5, released on 5th of May. How clever!
Marissa Nadler needed help of her fans and their love for her was even greater than she expected. Unnamed album will come some time in 2011. It’ll surely be something wonderful.
iamamiwhoami made the most amusing audio-visual campaign of 2010 and it wouldn’t be much surprising if they returned with something similarly catchy and ingenious. Some unreleased material was used In Concert; so let’s wait for anything they’ll come with. Also, cross your fingers for iamamiwhoami to win the price for best innovator at Swedish Grammis awards. They deserve it.
Clem Leek is working on new material for a new, unnamed album with no other information given. Past the Pasture and Beyond the Hill is splendid piece of neo-classical dreaming; it’s gonna be gorgeous.
Field Rotation, the contemporary classical project of Christopher Berg will finally release his Acoustic Tales after a month of delay. Imaginative and breathe-taking music is accompanied by wonderful set of photos and poetry. Real art.
And surely, even much more amazing music.
